GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico –Kmart and Sears have teamed with FEMA to provide residents of Puerto Rico with free information and tips on how to make homes safer and stronger.
FEMA specialists will be in Bayamón, Hatillo, Juana Díaz, Ponce and San Juan from May 21 to June 1 to share proven methods to prevent or reduce damage from earthquakes, hurricanes and tsunamis. Most of the information and free publications they provide are for do-it-yourself work and general contractors.
All assistance and information are available in English and Spanish.
Residents can learn ways to protect themselves and their family and neighbors by visiting with FEMA advisors from May 21 to June 1 at the following locations:
Bayamón Sears Santa Rosa Mall Tuesday-Saturday 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
Hatillo Sears Plaza del Norte 506 Calle Truncado Tuesday-Saturday 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

People who are deaf or hard of hearing may ask a FEMA specialist for an interpreter and the agency will arrange to provide one.
