Each year, FEMA’s publishes Notices of Funding Opportunity for the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) and the Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grant programs. These competitive grant programs assist state, local, tribal and territorial governments to build a culture of preparedness by strengthening our nation’s ability to reduce disaster losses and protect life and property from future disaster damage.

FEMA has published a Request for Information notice in the Federal Register seeking public comment on the National Flood Insurance Program’s minimum floodplain standards. The notice also requests comments on how the program could better promote the conservation of threatened and endangered species and their habitats consistent with the Endangered Species Act.
