PUBLIC NOTICE MAJOR DISASTER DECLARATION FEMA-4366-DR-HI

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) hereby gives notice to the public of its intent to provide financial assistance to the State of Hawaii, local governments, Native Hawaiian Organizations, and private nonprofit organizations under major disaster declaration FEMA-4366-DR-HI. This notice applies to the Individual Assistance (IA), Public Assistance (PA), and Hazard Mitigation Grant (HMGP) programs implemented under the authority of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 5121-5207.

Kilauea Disaster Recovery Center Hours Changing

HONOLULU — The joint federal/state/county disaster recovery center assisting residents with the Kilauea eruption recovery will be changing its hours next week.

The Disaster Recovery Center at the Pahoa Neighborhood Facility, 15-3022 Kauhale Street in Pahoa will adopt new hours beginning Monday, Sept. 17.

Current hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday. Closed Sundays.

New hours effective Monday, Sept. 17 are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Closed Saturdays and Sundays.

April Storm Recovery Update: Stay in Touch With FEMA

HONOLULU – Homeowners and renters in the City and County of Honolulu and Kaua’i County that registered for disaster assistance with FEMA following the April storms and flooding are encouraged to stay in touch.

The deadline to apply for assistance has passed, but applicants can still track their application and should notify FEMA of changes to their information such as a mailing address, phone number, email address, insurance settlement information or other documentation.

HONOLULU — Hawai’i County residents with uninsured or underinsured damage or losses as a result of the Kilauea eruptions and earthquakes have until Sept. 12, 2018 to register with FEMA for disaster assistance and to apply for a low-interest disaster loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

President Donald J. Trump Approves Major Disaster Declaration for the Havasupai Tribe

WASHINGTON –The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced today that federal disaster assistance has been made available for the Havasupai Tribe to supplement the tribe’s recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, flooding, and landslides from July 11 to July 12, 2018.


Federal funding is available to the Havasupai Tribe on a cost-sharing basis for assistance for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by severe storms, flooding, and landslides.
