WASHINGTON — As of May 21, FEMA, HHS and the private sector combined have coordinated the delivery of or are shipping: 83.4 million N-95 respirators, 140.2 million surgical masks, 11.9 million face shields, 28.6 million surgical gowns and more than 1 billion gloves.

FEMA has procured and delivered 7.5 million swabs and 4 million units of media so far this month in support of the White House Task Force’s testing initiative. To date, more than 12.9 million samples have been tested.

As of May 21, FEMA has made 588 deliveries of medical supplies to nursing homes in 52 of 53 states and territories. FEMA is coordinating two shipments totaling a 14-day supply of personal protective equipment to all 15,400 Medicaid and Medicare-certified nursing homes. The shipments are meant to supplement existing efforts to provide equipment to nursing homes.

Project Airbridge has completed 163 flights with an additional 59 scheduled or in transit. Through Project Airbridge, nearly 1.4 million N95 respirators, 921 million gloves, 103.8 million surgical masks, 23.3 million gowns, 2.4 million thermometers, 2 million face shields, 654,000 coveralls, 109,000 stethoscopes, 370,000 oxygen masks and 160,000 cannulas have been delivered.

FEMA has obligated more than $6.2 billion in COVID-19 response efforts. In the past 48 hours that amount includes:

  • $10 million for Arizona.
  • $5.7 million for Kansas.
  • $1.4 million for Puerto Rico.
  • $1 million for South Carolina.

Houston Independent School District Workers Provide Meals for Families

HOUSTON (May 20, 2020) — Houston Independent School District workers pass out free school meals to families affected by COVID-19-related school closures. The U.S. Department of Agriculture provided Texas with more than $1 billion in food benefits through the federal Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 21, 2020) — Arkansas Army National Guard Spc.
