Interested persons are hereby notified that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)/Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is proposing to fund flood control projects in Region 5. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 and the implementing regulations of FEMA, a revised draft Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) has been prepared to streamline environmental reviews, saving time and money, for various flood control projects that previously would have required a standalone Environmental Assessment. 

Anyone interested in providing comment on the draft PEA may respond as noted below before May 20, 2025. Be sure to provide your name and contact information along with your comments.
