Project Description
The city of Gastonia’s Two Rivers Utilities Water Treatment Plant provides water and wastewater services to about 100,000 residents across multiple communities. However, the current generator at the Water Treatment Plant no longer meets the power requirements to ensure continuous water treatment during power outages.
To address this problem, the city plans to build two generators at the water treatment plant. The generators will provide additional power to meet the electrical demands even during peak demand periods. It will also ensure a reliable water supply for the community. The project aims to reduce the identified risks and maintain access to clean, drinkable water for critical facilities, residents and businesses.
