Federal, State, and Tribal Officials

  • Federal, state, and tribal officials should contact the Senior Mitigation Planner in the Mitigation Division, Risk Analysis Branch of the appropriate FEMA Regional Office.
  • Although federal, state, and tribal officials should generally reach out first to the appropriate Regional Office, they may also locate contacts at FEMA headquarters in the Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration (FIMA), Risk Management Directorate, in Washington, DC.
  • Tribal officials can also contact their Regional Tribal Liaison.
  • Federal, state, and tribal officials who are looking to integrate individuals with disabilities and others with access and functional needs into hazard mitigation planning can contact FEMA’s Office of Disability Integration and Coordination for more information and resources.

  • Local planners are generally encouraged to contact their state officials for assistance, but may also contact the appropriate FEMA Regional Office.
