alert - info

St. Petersburg, Florida: $388,174

Project Description

The city of St. Petersburg will elevate a single-family home that has received five National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) payments which qualifies the structure as a severe repetitive loss property. The one-story structure was built in 1967 on a slab-on-grade foundation and is in the coastal AE flood zone with a Base Flood Elevation (BFE) of nine feet. The structure’s lowest floor elevation is 3.7 feet and must be raised at least 7.2 feet to meet the proposed minimum design flood elevation of 11 feet. The city will elevate the slab by building new footers and foundation walls to support the home and will protect against a 100-year storm event.
