Natural disasters don’t wait for a convenient time. Preparing your family and your home shouldn’t wait either. Disasters affect everyone, and it’s important to teach our children how to prepare for disasters and emergencies. Join FEMA Region 3 for an engaging overview of youth and family disaster preparedness tools and resources as we observe National Preparedness Month.

The best way to help your household and community recover from a disaster is by taking steps today to prepare yourself and your family before disaster strikes.
National Preparedness Month is observed each September to encourage all Americans to take steps to prepare yourself and your loved ones for disasters that could happen anywhere and at any time.
This year’s theme is “A Lasting Legacy: The Life You’ve Built is Worth Protecting”.
FEMA Region 3, along with guest speakers, will present several overviews of how families and young people can better prepare before disaster strikes.
The Webinar will be held via Zoom, and will run from 6pm EST to 7:30pm EST.
