DENVER – Sunday evening, FEMA authorized the use of federal funds to help with firefighting costs for the Silver King Fire burning in Paiute County Utah, near Marysvale.

An upcoming art exhibition highlighting climate change and resilience will open in Denver on June 28. The exhibition is part of FEMA’s ArtWorks initiative. Three artists are featured in an upcoming exhibition investigating and sharing the stories of resilience in a changing climate. From sublime foreshadowing to documentation of the real ways natural hazards affect our lives; artists shine a light on stories of loss and resilience.

Granite County’s flood insurance rate map updates are nearing completion. The new maps will provide Granite County with more accurate flood risk information that can help local officials and residents make informed decisions about reducing flood risks and purchasing flood insurance.

Moody County’s flood insurance rate map update is nearing completion. The new maps will provide Moody County with more accurate flood risk information that can help local officials and residents make informed decisions about reducing flood risks and purchasing flood insurance.

New flood maps have been developed for Golden Valley County and the City of Beach. If residents or businesses feel there is an error in the map, they have a 90-day period to provide scientific or engineering data.
