FEMA funding provided to the State of Utah for costs in battling the Dollar Ridge Fire

Survivors who applied for assistance from FEMA need to stay in touch with the agency to update application details with any new information.

After you apply for FEMA assistance, you will receive a letter explaining the status of your application. This letter explains the types of assistance FEMA has determined you are eligible to receive, the amounts of assistance FEMA is providing for each eligible need, the reasons an applicant would be ineligible for specific types of assistance, an explanation of the appeals process, and other key information regarding disaster assistance.

The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at Park High School in Park County will permanently close Wednesday, August 10 at 6 p.m. Additionally, both of Carbon County’s DRCs will close. Roosevelt Jr. High School will permanently close on August 12 at 6 p.m. and the DRC at Fromberg Methodist Church will close on August 13 at 7 p.m.

As eligible disaster survivors start to receive funds for rental assistance, home repairs, or other categories of assistance, FEMA urges you to spend those awards wisely.
