WASHINGTON -- FEMA announced federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Colorado to supplement state and local recovery efforts in areas affected by wildfires from Sept. 6 to Nov. 5, 2020.
Federal funding is also available to state and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the wildfires in Grand and Larimer counties.
Federal funding is available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide.
Jon K. Huss has been named as the Federal Coordinating Officer for federal response operations for the affected area. Additional designations may be made later if warranted by further damage assessments.
