FEMA and the Michigan State Police/Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division (MSP/EMHSD) announced today that $2,370,160 in federal funding has been made available to the city of Dearborn for response costs related to the federally declared severe storms, flooding, and tornadoes from June 2021. This funding will reimburse the city of Dearborn for costs to remove debris caused by the disaster.

Representatives from FEMA will host a Flood Map Information Open House for communities in Bay County, Michigan, on April 17, 2023, from 5 – 7 p.m. ET. The open house will give residents a chance to review preliminary versions of the recently completed Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report and its accompanying preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs).
