Letter of Map Revision (LOMR)

The Colorado Water Conservation Board and Mile High Flood Control District hold pre-submittal meetings. These meetings are a chance to answer questions about the Letter of Map Revision process. This joint effort has made for more complete submittals. It has also improved coordination among local agencies and mapping partners.

FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) will suspend initiation of Letters of Map Revision Based on Fill (LOMR-F) and Conditional Letters of Map Revision Based on Fill (CLOMR-F) cases in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties effective August 1

FEMA's comment on a proposed project that would, upon construction, affect the hydrologic or hydraulic characteristics of a flooding source and thus result in the modification of the existing regulatory floodway, the effective Base Flood Elevations (BFEs), or the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA).
