More than $1.62 billion in federal grants, disaster loans and flood insurance payments has been provided to the state of Florida and households to help survivors jumpstart their recovery after Hurricane Ian. FEMA has provided $669 million to households and $322 million to the state for emergency response, while the U.S. Small Business Administration has provided $387 million in disaster loans and the National Flood Insurance Program has paid $244 million in claims.
The state of Florida and FEMA have opened an additional Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Flagler County.
Duval County is now eligible for debris removal and repair or replacement of disaster-damaged public facilities. They were previously approved for emergency protective measures.
Hardee and Sarasota counties are now eligible for FEMA Direct Temporary Housing Assistance.
