FRANKFORT, Ky. – In the aftermath of recent severe weather, Kentuckians can benefit from free advice from FEMA experts on how to rebuild stronger and safer. FEMA mitigation specialists will be in Greenup County to offer free home improvement tips and proven methods to prevent and lessen damage from future disasters.
The FEMA specialists will be available from:
- 8 a.m. to noon ET, Saturday, July 13
- 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET, Tuesday – Friday, July 16 – 19

Homeowners and renters impacted by the April 2 severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, landslides and mudslides in Boyd, Carter, Fayette, Greenup, Henry, Jefferson, Jessamine, Mason, Oldham, Union and Whitley counties are encouraged to apply for FEMA assistance before the July 22 deadline.
