지난 8월 8일 마우이에서 발생한 산불로 인해 재산 피해나 손실을 입은 주택 소유자와 임차인이 미국연방재난관리청(Federal Emergency Management Agency, FEMA)이 제공하는 재난 지원을 신청할 수 있는 기간이 2주 남았습니다. 또한 마우이 복구를 위한 FEMA 파트너인 미국 중소기업청(U.S. Small Business Administration, SBA)에 재난 대출을 신청할 수도 있습니다.

FEMA는 마우이 카운티 이재민을 위한 2가지 직접 주택 프로그램을 승인했습니다. 각 프로그램에 대해 FEMA는 정부를 대신하여 임대 주택의 부동산 소유주와 계약을 맺는 부동산 관리 회사와 협력할 것입니다. 해당 주택은 이재민에게 최대 18개월 동안 제공됩니다. 마우이 카운티, 하와이주, FEMA 및 민간 부문은 다음과 같이 각 프로그램에 대해 가족 및 개인에게 적합한 임대 주택 소유주를 찾습니다
