FEMA has approved $1,180,207 in grant funding to reimburse Dunes Community Development District for water main relocation expenses after Hurricane Nicole.

FEMA has approved $1,394,686 in grant funding to reimburse Indian River County for beach and dune restoration expenses after Hurricane Nicole.

FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance provides funding for eligible activities that reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and property from future disasters. The application deadlines are approaching for both Hurricane Ian and Hurricane Nicole. The deadline for Hurricane Ian is August 29, 2023 and for Hurricane Nicole is October 20, 2023.

FEMA approved an extension for Transitional Sheltering Assistance for survivors who still need time finding housing and continue to qualify for the program.

Public Assistance (PA) is FEMA’s largest grant program providing funds to assist communities after a federally declared disaster or emergency. The program provides funding for emergency assistance to save lives and protect property and assists with funding for permanently restoring community infrastructure affected by a disaster.
