BOTHELL, Wash. – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has authorized the use of federal funds to help with firefighting costs for the Evans Canyon Fire burning in Yakima County, Washington, approximately eight miles north of the community of Naches.

WASHINGTON -- FEMA Administrator Pete Gaynor approved Alaska for a FEMA grant under the Lost Wages Assistance program. FEMA’s grant funding will allow Alaska to provide $300 per week -- on top of their regular unemployment benefit -- to those unemployed due to COVID-19.
