Since the federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Ian, Lee County residents have received more than $412.2 million in federal funds as of Oct. 24, 2022:
- $260 million in FEMA grants to homeowners and renters.
- $106.5 million in U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) low-interest disaster loans approved for homeowners, renters and businesses.
- $45.7 million in claims paid to National Flood Insurance Program policyholders.
Individual Assistance in Lee County
77,525 homeowners and renters have been approved for $260,084,971 in federal grants through FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program.
This includes:
- $189,190,571 in Housing Assistance grants for home repair, home replacement, and/or rental assistance.
- $70,894,400 in Other Needs Assistance grants to replace essential household items and for other critical disaster-related expenses.
- 14,910 homeowners and renters have been approved for rental assistance.
- 50,086 home inspections issued; 47,513 completed.
- Disaster Survivor Assistance (DSA) visited 18,722 households in Lee County.
U.S. Small Business Administration
SBA has approved $106,524,600 in low-interest disaster loans to 1,457 applicants in Lee County.

National Flood Insurance Program
NFIP has paid $45,716,000 to policyholders who filed claims in Lee County.
Public Assistance
Lee County was approved for assistance for debris removal, emergency protective measures and permanent work.
