Free Webinars on Recovery, Rebuilding and Mitigation

FEMA wants to help you with your recovery. Homeowners, renters, and business owners may benefit by attending free webinars on a variety of subjects.

Topics include:

  • Disaster Clean Up: Flood and wind damage, as well as mold remediation;
     
  • Selecting and Working with Contractors;
     
  • Using Water-Resistant Building Materials: Dealing with flooding and burst pipes;
     
  • The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP): What you need to know;
     
  • Flood Mitigation Techniques: Simple techniques you can use to make your home more resilient;
     
  • Wind Mitigation Techniques: Using brackets and connectors. Publications to guide your repair, rebuilding, and retrofitting efforts; and  
     
  • Basic Mitigation for Volunteers: Community Education and Outreach (CEO) specialists talk with volunteers on mitigation techniques and how to be safe in their efforts to help others.

These specialists will provide information on how to repair and rebuild safer and stronger during these webinars.
