Pasco County, Florida: $277,160

Project Description

Pasco County will elevate a single-family home in New Port Richey to address repetitive flooding of the living areas. The property has been repeatedly flooded and received two payments from the National Flood Insurance Program. It is in a coastal flood zone with a Base Flood Elevation (BFE) of 10 feet and the structure will be elevated on a stem wall foundation with a design flood elevation of 2 feet above the BFE.

The structure’s lowest floor elevation is 4.7 feet which requires the existing structure to be elevated at least 7.3 feet to meet the proposed minimum design flood elevation of 12 feet as noted in the North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Once complete, the home will be protected against a 100-year storm event.
