FEMA Specialists to Offer Mitigation Tips at Lowe’s in Hope Mills

RALEIGH, N.C. – Disaster survivors can get tips and advice on how to rebuild stronger against future storm damage at the Lowe’s in Hope Mills Dec. 31, 2018 through Jan. 18, 2019 with the exception of New Year’s Day.

 

FEMA flood mitigation specialists can answer questions about home repair, making disaster plans, putting together supply kits and the importance of flood insurance.

 

Mitigation is the effort to reduce the loss of life and property damage by lessening the impact of future disasters. The mitigation specialists will be available at:

Monday, Dec. 31, 2018 through Friday, Jan. 18, 2019

from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Except New Year’s Day

 

More mitigation events will be held at home improvement stores in disaster-affected North Carolina counties in the coming weeks.
