FEMA Disaster Assistance Teams Visiting Russian Mission

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Alaska Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (DHS&EM), and Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Assistance staff will be in Russian Mission to help survivors register for assistance from the ice jam and snow melt flooding that occurred between May 12 and June 3, 2023.

Event Details

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Alaska Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (DHS&EM), and Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Assistance staff will be in Russian Mission to help survivors register for assistance from the ice jam and snow melt flooding that occurred between May 12 and June 3, 2023.    

Teams will set up at the City Office to register survivors for disaster assistance and answer questions about the application process and what happens next. Immediately following registration, housing inspectors will travel to the applicants’ homes to perform a home inspection. FEMA staff will always have appropriate federal identification and will never charge for assistance. 

Date: Sept. 5th and 6th.

Time: 10 AM to 5 PM

If unable to apply with FEMA specialists in the field, you can also register by calling FEMA’s Alaska Hotline at 866-342-1699 between 8 AM and 7 PM AKT, Monday through Sunday, visiting disasterassistance.gov, or using the FEMA mobile app
