Washington, DC -- Federal assistance has been made available by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help Virginia fight the uncontrolled Fultz Run fire burning in Page County. FEMA Director Joe M. Allbaugh approved the state's request for federal fire management assistance late yesterday after it was reported that the blaze had consumed more than 1,400 acres and posed a threat to at least 100 homes.
