Use text messaging to to get information before, during and after a disaster

FEMA's text message program is not a substitute for 9-1-1 or other local emergency resources. But it can be a helpful tool before, during and after a disaster. By texting 43362 (4FEMA), survivors can find the nearest shelter locations and disaster recovery centers.
