ATLANTA — Starting tomorrow, residents of Thomas County who suffered damage due to Hurricane Michael can have face-to-face conversations with specialists regarding their disaster assistance applications. On Thursday, October 25, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is opening a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Thomasville at:

Please note the hours, as they are change throughout the week:
Thursday (Oct. 25)-Tuesday (Oct. 30): 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Closed Wednesday)
Sunday (Oct. 28): 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
It is not necessary to visit a DRC to apply for disaster assistance; however, survivors are strongly encouraged to register with FEMA before visiting a DRC.

A DRC gives survivors the chance to meet one-on-one with specialists from the state of Georgia, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
