Florida Keys Volunteers are Key to Recovery

Driven to help the Florida Keys recover quickly from Hurricane Irma, a small group of friends began clearing debris from waterways in Monroe County soon after the storm hit in September 2017. Today, the Conch Republic Marine Army has recruited more than 1,000 volunteers through a social media campaign and registered as a non-profit organization to help their neighbors after future storms.
