Building Resilient Infrastructure And Communities Summary Information

For the Fiscal Year 2021 application cycle, through the National Competition, FEMA selected 53 competitive projects based on the highest composite score until the funding amount available had been reached.

The benefits of these projects oftentimes extend to disadvantaged or underserved populations of larger communities, where access to health and human services, transportation and communications is a priority. These projects also focus on protecting large and small community infrastructure, which helps ensure the continuity of vital services.

Flood Mitigation Assistance Summary Information

The Flood Mitigation Assistance provides grant funding to states, local communities, tribes, and territories to reduce or eliminate the risk of repetitive flood damage to buildings and structures insured under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

For this application cycle, FEMA selected 61 competitive projects which are located in 19 states; summaries of 10 of these projects are available below. The year, there are major successes in terms of application submissions and selections of projects with high saturations of Severe Repetitive and Repetitive Loss properties.
