FEMA will host a tribal consultation to discuss the newly implemented 2024 Tribal Declarations Interim Guidance, effective December 3, 2024. The consultation is an opportunity for Tribal Nations to provide input and ask questions about disaster declaration updates and their impact. The public webinars, which are not formal consultations, are designed to share details and answer general questions about the updated guidance.

Tribal leaders and designated representatives are encouraged to submit written comments or questions via email with the subject line “2024 Tribal Declarations Interim Guidance – Comments” to fema-tribal@fema.dhs.gov. Comments are due by January 2, 2025.
