Interested persons are hereby notified that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)/Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has prepared a draft Programmatic Environmental Assessment for the Improvement of Utility Systems in North Dakota. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 and the implementing regulations of FEMA, a Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) is being prepared to streamline environmental reviews, saving time and money for various utility improvement projects that previously would have required a standalone Environmental Assessment.
Anyone interested in providing comment on the PEA may respond as noted below before January 8, 2025. Be sure to provide your name and contact information along with your comments.
If no substantive comments are received, the draft PEA will become final and be presented for signature to the signatory parties.
