Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) 101
This webinar discusses available FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance programs including the declaration process and the HMGP application process. Topics include who is eligible for HMGP funding and the activities that can be considered for funding when mitigating against future disasters.
The HMGP Post Fire Program
This webinar discusses the HMGP Post Fire Program. FEMA's Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) has Post Fire assistance available to help communities implement hazard mitigation measures after wildfire disasters. States, federally recognized tribes and territories affected by fires resulting in a Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) declaration on or after October 5, 2018 are eligible to apply.
Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Application Requirements and Project Eligibility
This webinar covers HMGP application requirements and project eligibility. All state, local, tribal and territorial governments must develop and adopt hazard mitigation plans to receive funding for hazard mitigation project application. In addition to a hazard mitigation plan, there are required components that must be submitted for an application to be considered for funding.
Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Project Selection Process
This webinar covers project selection, approval, implementation, and steps on how closeout a project. HMGP is a state and territory- led program. All project selection and approvals are done at the state or territory level.
