BABAA Lunch & Learn: De Minimis Waivers

FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate (GPD) is offering a series of 30-minute training webinars on the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA), a part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). These virtual trainings will be facilitated by GPD’s Buy America Branch (BAB) and offered on various dates from April through August 2024. The trainings will cover a variety of topics related to BABAA, including roles and responsibilities, best practices, covered products, and waivers.

The De Minimis Waivers Webinar will describe FEMA’s de minimis waiver, its use and recipient’s best practices to document compliance, and will compare the similarities and distinct differences between it and the minor components waiver.

This training is appropriate for FEMA award recipients and subrecipients, including state, local, tribal, and territorial government personnel; nonprofit organization staff; eligible private entities, such as engineering and construction contractors, and anyone else interested in the BABAA requirements.
