The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, Part F: AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) Program (93.145)
*National Training and Technical Assistance Cooperative Agreements:* This funding supports (1) Assessing and providing technical assistance (TA) to Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) recipients to improve HIV care capacity and quality; (2) Developing and sharing strategies and tools for program development and operations; (3) Offering TA on data collection and reporting for program improvement; (4) Collaborating with HHS agencies and partners to create strategies, tools, and training for RWHAP recipients.
*AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) Program:* This funding supports: (1) Training healthcare personnel in HIV diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, including perinatal transmission and care for women with HIV; (2) Training faculty to prepare students in HIV care; (3) Developing and disseminating HIV care and prevention materials; (4) Creating protocols for HIV medical care, particularly for women. The program includes Regional AETCs, the National Clinician Consultation Center, and national HIV curriculum projects.
