Missing or incorrect information could delay the delivery of FEMA assistance. That’s why FEMA encourages homeowners and renters recovering from the March and April storms, tornadoes and flooding to stay in touch with the agency and keep their information as current as possible.
FEMA Public Assistance provides grants to state, local, tribal and territorial governments, and certain types of private nonprofits such as houses of worship, hospitals and academic institutions so communities can quickly respond to and recover from major disasters or emergencies.
After Arkansans apply for disaster assistance, FEMA may call to schedule an inspection of the damaged home or for more information to process the application. These calls may come from unfamiliar area codes or phone numbers.
