Central Point, Ore. – A mobile vaccination unit that can administer up to 250 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine per day is operating throughout Jackson County, Oregon. The vaccines are free and available for anyone 16 years of age or older.

BOTHELL, Wash. – In March when COVID-19 vaccines first became available to Jackson County’s grocery store employees, Bob Ames, General Manager of Sherm’s Thurnderbird Markets, wanted to offer his 600 employees a convenient option to get inoculated as quickly as possible. Ames brought vaccinators directly to three of the Southern Oregon grocery chain’s stores. Ames was surprised when only 50-60 employees took advantage of the in-store vaccination clinic.

BOTHELL, Wash. – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) awarded $5,317,675 million in federal funding to the Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS) for emergency protective measures taken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. FEMA provides this funding at 100 percent federal cost share.
