WASHINGTON — FEMA announced that federal emergency aid has been made available for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to supplement the commonwealth, tribal and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic beginning on Jan. 20, 2020, and continuing.

The President's action makes federal funding available for Crisis Counseling for affected individuals in all areas of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will be sending more than $6.7 million to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to reimburse Mass General Brigham, Inc. for the cost of steps taken to deal with increased patient loads caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

BOSTON – The Federal Emergency Management Agency will be sending nearly $7.6 million to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to reimburse it for the cost of warehousing and distributing medical supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
