GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – Soon we will begin to see the recovery of some of the Island’s most well-known sports venues. The Roberto Clemente Coliseum, Sixto Escobar Park, the Pedrín Zorrilla Coliseum, the San Juan Natatorium, the Baldrich Club tennis courts and the Dr. José Celso Barbosa Park will be repaired with over $15.3 million in FEMA funds for damage related to Hurricane María.

The sum is part of the $85 million obligated to the institution for permanent work projects

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico — During September, FEMA obligated $48.7 million in additional federal grants for 12 projects to repair several campuses of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR), the island’s first and largest higher education system.

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – The Homeland Security Operational Analysis Center, or HSOAC, published more than 20 reports on Hurricane María recovery topics. This analysis was coordinated with FEMA and contains an assessment of all Puerto Rico sectors, including how physical infrastructure, natural infrastructure and human systems were affected by the storm.

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico — The Roberto Clemente Municipal Sports Complex in Carolina will be rebuilt with help of an obligation of nearly $9.5 million from FEMA.

The facility consists of various structures built between 1988 and 2009. These include a playground for children with access and functional needs, the Guillermo Angulo Coliseum and a Sports Hall of Fame, among others.
