FEMA is tracking the remnants of Henri, as it continues to bring heavy rainfall to portions of the Northeast and New England, which may lead to flash, urban and small stream flooding along with minor to isolated moderate river flooding.

FEMA’s Acting Associate Administrator for Response and Recovery, David Bibo, spoke with the Weather Channel about current storm conditions and response.

FEMA continues monitoring Henri as it moves with high winds and flooding throughout the northeastern United States. Individuals in New England should continue to be vigilant for continued risks from Henri, including large rainfall totals and extended power outages.

FEMA announced that federal emergency aid has been made available to the state of Connecticut to supplement state, tribal and local response efforts to the emergency conditions in the areas affected by Hurricane Henri, beginning on Aug. 21 and continuing.
