Enhanced Incentives Offered by by New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program™
Was your home damaged as a result of Hurricane Sandy?
For a limited time, New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program is offering a series of enhanced incentives to help you recover from the storm’s impact.

HOMEOWNERS
If your home is located in a zip code designated as a damaged area impacted by the storm, you may be eligible for enhanced incentives in addition to current incentives on high efficiency equipment.* Qualifying equipment purchased on or after October 29, 2012, is eligible.
Specific incentive information and eligibility criteria are available at NJCleanEnergy.com/SANDY while funding lasts. Increased incentives include:
An additional $200 per unit for qualifying boilers, furnaces, water heaters, heat pumps and ductless mini-split units.
$50 for ENERGY STAR® qualified clothes washers.
Up to $1,300 should you purchase both a qualifying furnace and water heater.
$500 for high efficient central air conditioning units.

Businesses and Local Governments
Increased Financial Incentives
Incentives available through NJ SmartStart Buildings have been increased by 50% for those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Significantly reduce your costs when you upgrade to energy efficiency. Equipment purchased on or after October 29, 2012 is eligible while funding lasts. Smart Growth requirements are being waived for new construction projects in eligible areas impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
Streamlined and Modified Requirements
Pre-inspections and pre-approvals will be waived where appropriate, as will equipment inventory requirements for those with proof of pre-existing conditions (i.e. maintenance records, recent photographs and energy audit reports).
Restrictions on performance lighting measures in major rehabilitation projects have been eliminated.
Planned discontinuation of incentives for premium motors and T12 lighting has been extended from March 1, 2013 to June 30, 2013.
