FEMA Speaks Your Language

FEMA has representatives who speak many languages and provide services to those for whom English is a second language. We also have people and technology to support disaster recovery for those who are deaf, hard of hearing and have low vision.

In Texas, translation services are available to survivors of the March, April and May storms in the following languages:

  • Spanish
  • Vietnamese
  • Traditional Chinese
  • Arabic
  • Urdu
  • Haitian Creole
  • American Sign Language

Phone 800-621-3362 (FEMA). Applicants who use 711 or Video Relay Service may also call 800-621-3362. Persons who are deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech disability and use a TTY may call 800-462-7585. The toll-free numbers are open from 7a.m. to 10p.m., seven days a week. Multilingual operators are available.
