Hoy, el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional (DHS, por sus siglas en inglés) anunció que $279.9 millones estarán disponibles mediante fondos de subvenciones para el Programa de Subvención para Seguridad Cibernética Estatal y Local (SLCGP, por sus siglas en inglés) para el año fiscal 2024. Ahora, en su tercer año, este programa proporciona fondos a los gobiernos estatales, locales y territoriales para ayudarles a reducir el riesgo cibernético y desarrollar resiliencia contra las amenazas de seguridad cibernética en constante evolución. Establecido por la Ley de Mejora de Seguridad Cibernética Estatal y Local, además de formar parte de la Ley Bipartidista de Infraestructura, el SLCGP proporciona aproximadamente mil millones en financiamiento durante cuatro años para apoyar a los gobiernos estatales, locales y territoriales en su desarrollo de capacidades para detectar, protegerse contra y responder ante amenazas cibernéticas.

Today, the Department of Homeland Security announced the availability of $279.9 million in grant funding for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP). Now in its third year, this program provides funding to state, local, and territorial (SLT) governments to help reduce cyber risk and build resilience against evolving cybersecurity threats. Established by the State and Local Cybersecurity Improvement Act, and part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the SLCGP provides approximately $1 billion in funding over four years to support SLT governments as they develop capabilities to detect, protect against, and respond to cyber threats.
