Tribal Homeland Security Grant Program

The Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Tribal Homeland Security Grant Program (THSGP) is one of three grant programs that support DHS/FEMA’s focus on enhancing the ability of state, local, tribal and territorial governments, as well as nonprofit organizations, to prevent, prepare for, protect against, respond to and recover from terrorist attacks.

In Fiscal Year (FY) 2024, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is providing $13.5 million to enhance the ability of Tribal Nations to prevent, prepare for, protect against, and respond to potential terrorist attacks and other hazards.

The Tribal Homeland Security Grant Program (THSGP) plays an important role in the implementation of the National Preparedness System by supporting the building, sustaining and delivery of core capabilities essential to achieving the National Preparedness Goal of a secure and resilient nation.
