TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The State/FEMA disaster recovery center in Gretna will close at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15. Help is still available by phone, online or by visiting a nearby center.
FEMA will continue to work with state and local authorities in Gadsden County on recovery from Hurricane Michael.
The center opened Oct. 24 at Old Gretna Elementary School, 706 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd., Gretna, FL 32332. The center has assisted more than 3,400 visitors.
Hurricane Michael survivors can continue to receive answers to questions and check the status of their FEMA applications by visiting any of the four remaining centers. Center locations can be found online at FEMA.gov/DRC.
Most of the same services are available by going online to DisasterAssistance.gov or calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362 or 800-462-7585 (TTY) anytime from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. Multilingual operators are available.
FEMA coordinates with the State of Florida to determine where disaster recovery centers are located and how long they are needed.
