Provides payroll support for American workers employed by passenger air carriers, cargo air carriers, and related contractors.

Department of the Treasury

The Emergency Rental Assistance program makes available $25 billion to assist households that are unable to pay rent and utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Department of the Treasury

Treasury has made payments from the CRF and requires that they only be used to cover expenses incurred during the period that begins on March 1, 2020, and ends on December 31, 2021.

Consolidated Appropriations Act: FY21 Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF) - Proprietary Institution Formula Grant Funds for Students Assistance (84.425Q)

Department of Education

Provides financial aid grants to students (including students exclusively enrolled in distance education), which may be used for any component of the student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus.

Consolidated Appropriations Act: FY21 Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF) - Student Aid Portion for Public & Nonprofit Institutions (84.425E)

Department of Education

Provides funding to institutions to provide emergency financial aid grants to students whose lives have been disrupted, many of whom are facing financial challenges and struggling to make ends meet. Students cannot apply for assistance directly.

For participating States MEUC provides an additional $100/week to individuals receiving certain unemployment insurance benefits who received at least $5,000 of self-employment income in the taxable year ending prior to the individual’s application.

Other Independent Agencies

Discount of up to $50/month towards broadband service for eligible households & up to $75 per month for those on Tribal lands. Eligible households can receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase of certain devices such as laptops or tablets.

CRRSA was signed into law on December 27, 2020 and provides an additional $54.3 billion for the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER II Fund).

Department of Transportation

The Urbanized Area Formula Funding program makes federal resources available to urbanized areas and to governors for transit capital and operating assistance in urbanized areas and for transportation-related planning.

Department of Health and Human Services

An initial award to jurisdictions through the existing CDC Immunization and Vaccines for Children cooperative agreement. These awards will support a range of COVID-19 vaccination activities across jurisdictions.
