FEMA hosts virtual and in-person events to provide training, assist disaster survivors, share hiring opportunities, and promote other activities related to helping people before, during and after disasters.

Representatives from FEMA will host a virtual Flood Map Information Open House on June 28, 2022, for communities in Licking County, Ohio from 5 – 7 p.m. ET. The open house will give residents the chance to review preliminary versions of a recently completed Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report and its accompanying preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM).

Two-day Zoom webinar focused on disaster and emergency preparedness for adults age 55+. Speakers will share how to respond before, during, and after disasters in the New England Area. Topics covered will include floods and heavy rainfall, severe winter weather, cybersecurity, and personal health and wellness.

FEMA will host a virtual tribal consultation on DHS and FEMA preparedness grant programs, including the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) and the Tribal Homeland Security Grant Program (THSGP).

Provides an overview of the federal procurement under grant rules for recipients and subrecipients when purchasing under a FEMA grant.

Focuses on contracting actions recipients and subrecipients can take to prepare before a disaster strikes and addressing the procurement rules applicable during these times.
