FEMA Rebuilding Advice Available at Wells Hardware in Cordele

ATLANTA – Are you repairing or rebuilding damaged property? Have questions about flood insurance? Want to protect your property from potential loss or damage from future disasters?
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) rebuilding specialists in Cordele provide tips and advice on making homes stronger and safer and answer questions about protecting homes from future damage.

Advisers are available in Crisp County at:

  • Wells Hardware and Wholesale Supply
    • 108 E. 8th Ave.
    • Cordele, GA
  • Thursday, Oct. 25 through Wednesday, Oct. 31
  • Hours: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. weekdays
    • 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday
    • Closed Sunday.

Homeowners can get free reference booklets, in English and Spanish, on cost-effective rebuilding and repair techniques to make homes more resistant to natural disasters. More information about strengthening property can be found at http://www.fema.gov/what-mitigation.

While there, you can also speak with FEMA Disaster Assistance Specialists about your individual recovery. They can sign up survivors who have not registered for federal disaster assistance for their uninsured and underinsured damage and losses resulting from Hurricane Michael. Both renters and homeowners who sustained uninsured or underinsured losses from Hurricane Matthew may be eligible for federal disaster assistance.
 
Experts on site will have information on possible FEMA grants for housing and possible reimbursement for personal property losses.
