Baton Rouge, LA -- Louisiana Disaster Recovery Centers will change their hours effective June 21. The new hours will be Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m.- 6:00p.m., and Sunday, 1:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. The Disaster Recovery Centers were opened jointly by the Louisiana Office of Emergency Preparedness (LOEP) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help victims of Tropical Storm Allison. Baton Rouge, LA -- Less than 10 days after President Bush declared a federal disaster for Louisiana, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Louisiana Office of Emergency Preparedness (LOEP) have teams in the field inspecting damages, and many disaster assistance programs are in action. The disaster area includes 23 parishes in southern Louisiana.
