Jenna Peters was sworn in as the Deputy Chief of Staff at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in November 2021. Prior to joining FEMA, Ms. Peters served as the Chief of Staff at New York City Emergency Management. In that role, Ms. Peters led the agency's administrative and operational functions during the most active disaster period in the City's history. While serving as a strategic advisor on the senior executive team, she also executed the first ever agency-wide reorganization and realignment.
Prior to her time in New York City, Ms. Peters spent over a decade in Washington, DC working for a consulting firm and a national non-profit. As a consultant, Ms. Peters worked with public and private sector clients to help them prepare for evolving threats and hazards, build capabilities, and strengthen resilience. Additionally, she served as the strategic advisor to the Senior Vice President and managed personnel development and operations for the Homeland Security Sector. Ms. Peters brings deep experience in streamlining processes to develop stronger teams, managing, and cultivating relationships, and ensuring open lines of communication to enable informed decision-making.
