Roller Coaster Removed From Ocean

Hurricane Sandy dismantled much of Casino Pier in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. The Jet Star roller coaster has become a Jersey Shore icon after the storm as it sits in the Atlantic Ocean. The coaster has become both a tourist attraction and an eyesore as boardwalk business owners struggle to have shops and rides open by Memorial Day. The Jet Star and other related debris in the ocean are now being removed as recovery efforts continue before the summer season begins. - Location: Seaside Heights, NJ
